Customer Experience for Email Marketing

Strategic Communication for your business, well duh! But a seemingly small detail has forced a disconnect from a potential customer. Let me explain.

I signed up for a valuable online event with my primary email, so I would see the registration details with ease. Then I was automatically ‘subscribed’.

The problem: I use a different email address for digital marketing to keep my primary email easier to manage.

So today, I tried to stay connected and informed, however, this company only gave me the option to disconnect. I could only unsubscribe. So, I did and let them know why.

“You don’t give me an opportunity to update my subscription. I want to change my email address to a different one and continue to receive information, but I can’t. I have to unsubscribe and re-subscribe. But I won’t do that because I have to hunt it down.”

If you’ve read this far, then I hope you will review your outgoing communications and other experiences to bring clients and customers in. Make it easy and inviting.
